                     ASQ Boulder Section - Activities Outline

Professional Certifications:
 - CQE, CQA, CSQE, CQM, CRE

Career Development:
- Six Sigma Black Belt Program(s) taught in conjunction with 
  universities' graduate schools.
- ASQ Boulder and Univ. of Colorado , open enrollment, electronic content 
  and testing distribution in the CU graduate school TV and secured 
  internet [keycodes and passwords] program. (the only other two in 
  Colo are at UNC and DU, and you have to be full-time enrolled their 
  MBA program(s) in order to take it on their campus in a classroom).

Education Courses:
- Boulder ASQ does testing review courses for all of the ASQ 
  certification exams
- CMI and CQT training, with or without ASQ testing

Classroom Venues:
- Frontrange Community College / RRCC (Red Rocks Community College), 
  Aims J.C., Regis University

Special Situations / Plant On Site Venues:
- CMI, CQT, CQE and CSQE with or without ASQ testing is very popular, 
  we teach them on-site as far away as Colorado Springs

Electronic Information and Monthly ASQ Section Meetings:
- A pre-meeting technical tutorial - usually 30minutes, usually 
  on 'QA tools' topic (or) other technical area of interest     
 .3 RU professional re-cert credit

- Main meeting technical speaker - usually 1 hour in length on an 
  industry (products or services) QA topic    
  .3 RU professional re-cert credit

- Section monthly newsletter and frequent e-mail update bulletins:

  Have joint meetings with Denver and Northern Colorado [Ft. Collins] 
  ASQ Sections and other professional societies 

Annual Front-Range Area Quality Conference:
- Rocky Mountain Quality Conference (RMQC) two day conference held 
  each April at the Arvada Center located at 68th and Wadsworth Blvd.
  Features world-class presenters, nominally priced, no-fee parking and 
  easy access to bldg, industry exhibitors with latest products and 
  software.  Boulder ASQ is one of four RMQC sponsoring sections with 
  our volunteers.  
  - You earn 1.0 RU re-cert credit for each day of attended
  - Next RMQC is April 17th and 18th, 2006

Community Outreach:
- We "walk the talk" on getting Quality focus, and auditing ethics 
  into HS and College Level curriculums
- $100 per calendar quarter for charities
- Section volunteers are active with Habitat for Humanity program 

Section Management:
- ASQ Section Management Plan (SMP) and 
- ASQ Section Affairs Council (SAC) compliance, level II
- Annual fiscal year end and new year planning 
  meeting (just completed) w/quarterly "management reviews".
